I sometimes go deep into the mountains just to collect water.
Not for a glamorous wellness retreat. For actual water.
But somewhere beyond the noise of traffic, something rather wonderful happens.
My five senses begin to wake up again.
We’ve become remarkably good at turning nature into a lifestyle. Organic this, wellness that, and apparently even relaxing requires a carefully curated experience.
But what does enjoying nature really mean?
People dance to electronic music around fires in the mountains. Others fall in love over dinner on a restaurant terrace, or spend a lovely afternoon having a picnic in the park.
Personally, I find all of it rather romantic.
I’ve never believed that loving nature means giving up beautiful parties.
After all, I don’t go to parties simply to drink.
I go to spend time with people, forget the clock, and beautifully consume a little more of this thing called life.
Which sounds terribly irresponsible until you remember that life is meant to be lived.
Perhaps nature and nightlife have more in common than we think.
Both can remind us what it feels like to be completely present.
At ÉDITON, we believe reconnecting with nature isn’t necessarily about escaping modern life.
Sometimes it’s about rediscovering our senses before returning to it.
Preferably with someone wonderful to share the evening.
